Review: Spy (2015/R)

Hmmmmmm it’s a “current” a comedy which if you know anything about this blog were a little harsh on. But with Melissa McCarthy shooting status of a bona fide comedian how does this stack up. Well it’s kind of like James Bond in the fact that it’s more about M6 workers then this by itself now that doesn’t mean she gets the training and down goes on a mission that alone is in this movie and that alone is funny. But what makes it the winner is when she lets her guard down and goes in this little profanity stream of consciousness  almost like a female Don Rickles while the first hour drags the second hour is wildly entertaining and wildly funny would we recommend you go rent this movie, now it’s one of those catch it when it’s a premium movie channel or if you have a free rental from Redbox.

On a scale of 1.0 to 5.9 it got a 4.1 out of 5.9

Review: iZombie: Season 2 (2015-2016)

We hate zombies shows there we said it. How many times have you seen us trash The Walking Dead. So what’s in all honesty would we be doing watching this CW show? Really we don’t know however as we discovered it originally on Netflix, this series has more to do with quantum leap then with The Walking Dead. Every time the main character eats the brain of somebody (don’t worry it’s not gory at all it’s actually rather comical on how the brains repaired you’ll see more graphic stuff on episode of CSI) she picks up the memories and skills of that person once again harking back to Sam Beckett of quantum leap. Mix this with a hip-hop show and this is actually well written and great entertainment. Would it work out one of the big four networks probably not but at the CW show this works. Filled with pop culture puns as a come back from every commercial break dinner douce the scene and also winking at itself with the couple in jokes I zombie is a refreshing clever oasis in the desert of crap on television.

Review: Home (2015/PG)

Sigh… Dreamworks what happened to you? You used to be cool. Once again it’s a paint by the numbers animated film again. So why didn’t we like it? Well it seems dreamworks movies are starting to get formulaic. Every movie starts with a monologue of the main character. This has been a issue on what seems like every movie after Puss in Boots. In the good old days of dreamworks movies (1998-2004) they were the hip alternative to Pixar. Now this attempt with Home is basically an ainimated episode of the Big Bang Theory with plot of Planet 51 thrown in. Yes this is geared towards children but come on where’s the orginality? Do we really need to hear that Rhianna song 4 times just to pad the film to 90 minuets on a weak story?

Review: Sesame Street season 46 episode 1

So after 45 seasons Sesame Street a show for urban low income children on over air free PBS has moved ultra expensive and what’s wrong with tv today, HBO. First off it’s now a half-hour show, second out of those half-hour show 15 minutes is still Elmo’s world. Now we wouldn’t discount that if it wasn’t for the fact that Elmo had five fucking minutes already at the start of the show. Why all right we’re going to trash the opening to because now it’s this regular speed to slow motion horse shit this is not Abraham Lincoln vampire Hunter that is not how you do it this is why kids have ADHD for Christ sake Its been on 46 years if the funding was an issue then they should’ve just let it end they had over 4000 episodes in the bank already We don’t think kids one of mind seeing stuff from Tenda 15 years ago. What our guide at the production value was awful everything is green screen and how about some real fucking sets people it’s not that hard if this show has done it since the 60s with even less of a budget that it has today what the fuck HBO. This isn’t a cultural icon anymore this is an embarrassment.

On a scale of 1.0 to 5.9 it got a 2.2 out of 5.9

Review: Honey I Shrunk the Audience at Epcot (1994-2010)

After Captain EO and also before Captain EO lies the one failure of an attraction at our favorite theme park, and that is Honey I Shrunk the Audience at Epcot. Why do we hate this so much when we’ve given the 2002 version of Jouney Into Your Imagination with Figment passing marks, especially when it uses one of the same main characters? That question itself is the heart of this review.  The main issue is although it has the name Honey I Shrunk in the title, this actually is not based on the 1989 film honey I shrunk the audience but yet the lesser and more annoying and more god awful 1992 sequel honey I blew up the kid. Which that film in itself is about a bratty three are all blown up to 50 feet which after about 20 minutes you want to take the table out of the VCR and beat it with a mallet it was that fucking awful. Well good news the little fuckers back and fucking around with everything in this abortion of a show. The problem is is were Captain EO was subtle was it three effects honey I shrunk the audience just banged you over the head with them who look at this 3-D won’t look at this mice running to the theater who look at this really loud noises oh God it was this an awful awful awful awful awful piece of garbage. Again we like Eric idle we give the 2002 version of Jouney Into Your Imagination, but here are his talent is just wasted. Is it any wonder we saw this one said 9094 and then didn’t go back until 2006 when Disney announce Captain EO was getting back we were running around and cheering L we’ve seen Captain EO probably 30 times magic I theater we saw this twice this is there a portion of a theme park attraction.
